The Land of Smiles
It's jungle, some small hills, and beaches. Famously iconic for James Bond island, there are many more like it. Take a boat to get to them, and bring Thai Baht the local currency.
Eat the local fruits and vegetables in a curry. Which, is just a type of food. Like saying "casserole", there are many types of it. This is true for all curry everywhere.
The beaches are idyllic, some sleepy, some party towns like Phuket. Bring water and sunscreen, the sun doesn't care you're on vacation. Being a lobster the rest of your trip won't ruin it, but why not make the most out of every day? Hydrate! Coconut water or milk is a great way to do it. Trust.
A lot of people have heard of Khao San Road or Phuket, but there is a lot more to Thailand than sex tourism and Ladyboys. A lot of kids need to help make money for their families, some turn to muay thai (a brutal form of fighting), or by becoming lady boys. They aren't just a novelty to satiate weirdo expats or travelers. Although, two birds here.
The drag shows are the best I've ever seen (I've been to a couple drag shows on the East Coast, and just as many in Thailand). Some are huge spectacles with a sit-down $40 entry and some will test your continence with how funny they are in a small bar. Go out, explore. You never know what you'll stumble upon.
Let's go explore!
